  • A self-initiated project developed under my consulting entity, serving as both an authored reflection and a professional showcase. It integrates commissioned and non-commercial projects delivered for organizations such as SOPHiA GENETICS, alongside personal explorations, positioning partners as contributors to a broader creative and intellectual ecosystem.

  • How to translate an atypical creative profile—bridging brand systems, personal fieldwork, and experiential practices—into a clear, credible, and structured narrative without fragmenting its meaning or diluting its professional relevance.

  • I designed CURYOS as an authored editorial experience, applying rigorous layout, typography, and narrative sequencing to connect personal exploration with commissioned work, revealing how unconventional inputs can strengthen strategic and visual communication outcomes.

  • The project involved designing a complete digital book, curating and post-producing original photography, writing project narratives, and structuring visual case studies such as Steep eMOTIONS, linking alpine fieldwork to high-stakes corporate storytelling.

Impact

CURYOS functions as a legacy piece demonstrating my ability to construct distinctive visual systems by merging disciplines often considered unrelated. It illustrates how lived experience, authored photography, and editorial rigor can replace generic stock imagery and elevate brand narratives.

Applied to contexts such as SOPHiA GENETICS’ IPO communication, the approach reinforced authenticity, emotional resonance, and narrative clarity. More broadly, CURYOS positions creative direction as an integrative practice—capable of generating long-lasting, meaningful visual experiences across commercial, cultural, and institutional projects.

Jean-Baptiste Mignardot

Design Leadership for Complex Products, Data & Global Brands.

Backed by 15+ years of multidisciplinary experience, I design and lead visual communication systems that bring structure, consistency, and credibility to complex environments.

My work sits at the intersection of brand design, data-driven communication, and digital experience, supporting organizations and initiatives across technology, health, science, sport, and culture. I help teams translate complexity into clear, reliable visual frameworks—spanning brand identities, design systems, data visualization, motion, and high-impact digital products—across both commercial and non-profit contexts.

I focus on making quality sustainable at scale: defining guidelines, structuring design operations, and aligning cross-functional teams so creative intent remains intact over time. My background bridges creative leadership with scientific rigor, reflected in award-winning interactive data-visualization platforms, publications featured in leading journals such as Nature and Science Translational Medicine, patented innovation, and work showcased by global media including CNN, BBC, and large-scale public displays such as the NASDAQ Times Square tower.

I embrace AI as a design accelerator—enhancing craft, speed, and consistency—while keeping human judgment, precision, and aesthetics at the core.
